Everyone who’s ever aspired to be a writer has the equivalent of a “bottom drawer.” It’s the place they put the sometimes finished and always abandoned manuscripts that they hope will never again see the light of day, yet they can’t bring themselves to throw them away. But every once in a while, a rough gem can be found there…bits of scenes you still love even if you no longer remember where the heck you were going with the story and the characters, or characters that have loads of intriguing personality but no plot to fit into…
This blog will occasionally drag out those pieces from my personal “bottom drawer,” as well as links to my favorite writing sites and sometimes nonsensical ramblings about the writing life.
