One interesting side-effect of working on a synopsis for my manuscript — I discovered a massive hole in the plot.  It’s so huge, I don’t know how I missed it during the several previous editing/polishing run-throughs  I’ve done on this story.  Right now, I don’t know how to fix it.  I don’t know if I even want to try to fix it.

Enthusiasm has never been my strong point when it comes to this particular manuscript.  Part of me is always looking for a reason to shelve this story, but that’s usually countered by the fact that I know that I’m my own worst critic.  The story can’t possibly be as bad as I sometimes think it is.

Or can it?
